Flashing
Flashing seals roof penetrations — chimneys, skylights, walls, dormers. Leaks develop when it becomes damaged, corroded, missing, or was installed wrong.
Pipe boots
The rubber gasket dries out, cracks, and opens a path for water. Boots also fail when they were not installed under the shingles or fastened correctly.
Skylights
Leaks near a skylight can come from the flashing, the frame, or the unit itself. Sometimes both the flashing and the unit need to be replaced.
Barge and fascia boards
Boards rot from prolonged water exposure caused by failed paint, missing drip edge flashing, or gutters that back up.
Gutters and downspouts
Clogged or damaged gutters push water back up under roofing materials. Sometimes the roof repair is really a drainage fix.

This is New Generation Roofing's own labor warranty on the roof replacements we install. It covers our work — flashing, fastening, sealing, and detail work. It is separate from anything the manufacturer provides.
Malarkey's manufacturer coverage
Separately, the materials carry Malarkey's own product and system warranty. Coverage and any non-prorated period depend on the shingle line and system installed on your roof. This is the manufacturer's warranty, not ours — the two are not the same.

Malarkey's manufacturer warranties depend on correct installation. As a Malarkey Emerald Pro certified contractor, we install complete tear-off systems to the manufacturer's specification so your coverage stands.
Malarkey Secure Choice™ roofing systems
Malarkey runs a Secure Choice™ program for qualifying roofing systems, which can provide enhanced or extended warranty protection when the requirements of the applicable program are met. Eligibility depends on the products, accessories, and installation used on your specific roof — so ask us about qualifying Malarkey Secure Choice™ roofing systems and available warranty protection during your estimate, and we will tell you plainly what your roof does and does not qualify for.
